BOB GRIBAS, Artistic Director, Writer, Director, Mask Maker

 Bob grew up in Havre, Montana and majored in Technical Theatre at the University of Montana, Elementary Education at Northern Montana College and Eastern Montana College and Scenic Design at Humboldt State University in Northern California. As a Teaching Artist and Mask Maker, he has taught drama classes at the Evergreen School, Allegro Performing Arts Academy, Spectrum Dance Theater, Youth Theatre Northwest, Debut Family Theatre and Lynnwood Parks and Rec. Along with producing original musical adaptations for Variety Plus, he has written and directed Alice in Wonderland, Babes in Toyland, Alladin, Egyptian Cinderella, Chinese Beauty & the Beast, African Folktales, The Frog Prince, Nightingale and Native American Tales for Spectrum Dance Theaters summer camp programs and annual Holiday Showcase. He recently wrote and directed Wizard of Oz for St. Catherines School in Seattle. Bob currently serves as Registrar and Youth Theatre Director at Spectrum Dance Theater. 












   ANGELA RINALDI-GRIBAS- Managing Director, Composer, Music Director, Choreographer

   Angela is currently a Teaching Artist at Seattle Children's Theatre and Resident Music Director and Choreographer for Bellevue High Schools  Spring Musical Productions. She performed Return to the Forbidden Planet with BHS students at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in Scotland in August 2013. Along with performing professionally as an actor, Angela has composed over 125 songs for theater and dance productions and serves as Principal Accompanist at Spectrum Dance Theater and Dance Musician at Cornish College of the Arts Dance Department. As a proud member of the Musicans Association Local-76 she is also promoting her Music for Ballet Class compact discs: Dancers Choice, The Keys of Dance and Musica Bella She is a corps member of Events on the Edge, performing Interactive Murder Mysteries, aboard the Royal Argosy Cruises as well as Meet the Biscottis! A Mafia Musical and Caffeine, An Addictive Musical, both of which she composed the original Angela has music directed and choreographed for both the Seattle and Bellevue school districts and has directed Seattle Childres Theaters summer season production of Once on This Island, Jr. In 2009 and Beauty and the Beast, Jr. At Wilder Elementary School in 2011.

Variety Plus was founded in 1995 by husband and wife creative team, Bob Gribas and Angela Rinaldi-Gribas. Combining Angela's dance and musical talents with Bobs creative design skills, they have written, directed and produced several musical adaptations, includingFrog Prince, Babes in Toyland, Rumpelstiltskin, The Emperors New Clothes, The Pied Piper, Peter Pan, Robyn Hood, Hansel And Gretel, Cinderella, Beauty And The Beast, Wizard Of Oz, Aladdins Lamp, Snow White, Jack And The Beanstalk, Pinocchio, Sleeping Beauty and Alice In Wonderland. Angela and Bob have over thirty years experience in the theatrical arts and have toured extensively throughout the United States and Canada with the Missoula Children's Theatre, Prairie Fire Childrens Theatre, Small Change Theatre and One Reel. They have also conducted theatrical workshops and residencies at Youth Theatre Northwest, Debut Family Theater, Lynnwood Parks and Rec, Spectrum Dance Theater, University Prep, Bellevue High School, Garfield High School, Brookside Elementary, Adams Elementary and Madrona Elementary.Pinocchio and Jack and the Beanstalk have become regional touring shows in the Midwest for Prairie Fire Children's Theatre.
